Academy Location

The Nepali Military Academy is located in Kharipati on the foothills of Nagarkot, 18 km east from the capital city Kathmandu. The Nepali Army’s training body, which is located at an altitude of 1350 meters (4430 feet) above sea level, occupies about an area of 45 acres of flat open land with clusters of buildings interspersed with greenery and serene environment.

NMA with its location on the outskirts of the historical city, Bhaktapur offers fascinating cultural heritage, historical sites and tourist destinations, remaining between the Kathmandu Valley in the west and Nagarkot hill in the east. It is the third largest city in Kathmandu Valley and was once the capital of Nepal during the great Malla Kingdom until the second half of the fifteenth century.
